Sep. 19, 2014, HIPS announced the new administrative group of IAMT: Comrade Rongchuan Wang is to serve as the Director of IAMT, Comrade Minzhou Luo is to serve as the Executive Associate Director of IAMT, and Comrade Lingcheng Kong is to serve as the Associate Director of IAMT.

Aug. 21, 2010, Keqiang Li, who was then member of the Standing Committee of the Central Political Bureau, Chinese Communist Party, and Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, visited IAMT, accompanied by leaders of Jiangsu Province and Changzhou City.

Jan. 10, 2010, a agreement was signed by the HIPS and Changzhou City Government to carry out the joint foundation of "Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Chinese Academy of Science, Hefei Institute of Physical Science".

January 2007, Changzhou Institute of Mechatronical Engineering was founded by Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HIPS) and Changzhou Town of Science and Education.
